OFWOnline is a free counseling service exclusively for OFWs as well as their families back home. It is designed to provide an online place where OFWs and their families can search for assistance from either their colleagues or qualified counselors.

This online service was headed by Ma. Regina M. Hechanova PhD and Ateneo Center for Organization Research and Development in 2008 through a grant from the Singapore Internet Research Center and International Development Research Centre .

OFWs free counseling service

The service is in cooperation with the Ateneo de Manila Department of Psychology, Department of Information Systems and Computer Science, and Ugnayan at Tulong Para sa Maralitang Pamilya Foundation, Inc.

OFWs are advised to take advantage of this helpful service while you are away from home.

OFWOnline has three services that are being offered free of charge:

1. OFWOnline offers free online chat with a counselor. Their counselors are certified by the Ateneo de Manila University and at any time of the day there is one counselor available. You can opt for a counselor to speak with but please be aware of their schedule.

Counseling sessions are for a maximum of one hour per session. Follow-up sessions with the counselors need to be made by session.

2. OFWOnline gives OFWs a free online chat service.

3. OFWOnline enables you to get in touch with other OFWs or OFW families using their forums. Members are encouraged to post any issue, concern or reply to someone else’s post.
